Ambassador Philip Kuroghobogha Ikurusi is the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the Republic of Zimbabwe.
A seasoned administrator, entrepreneur, and diplomat, Ambassador Ikurusi previously served as Nigeria’s Ambassador to the Argentine Republic, with concurrent accreditation to the Republic of Chile, the Republic of Peru, and the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, from 2020 to 2023. During his tenure, he worked to strengthen Nigeria’s bilateral relations with the four South American countries, promote economic cooperation, and deepen diplomatic engagement in areas of trade, investment, culture, and multilateral collaboration.
Before his appointment into the diplomatic service, Ambassador Ikurusi was the Managing Director of Alvanti Investment Limited, Nigeria, a position he held from 1994 to 2020. Over more than two decades in the private sector, he acquired extensive experience in business management, strategic planning, and investment development.
Ambassador Ikurusi is multilingual and fluent in English, Russian, Nembe, and Ijaw, enabling him to engage effectively across diverse cultural and international environments.
His personal interests include reading, table tennis, football, and chess, pursuits that reflect his appreciation for continuous learning, discipline, teamwork, and strategic thinking.
He is happily married and is blessed with children.
